  • Gender: male
  • Age: 66 years old

Prior clinical history

  • Arterial hypertension
  • Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation – 10/2021 RFA (ablation)

Clinical Presentation

  • 2x ischemic stroke under DOAC treatment
  • CHA2DS2-VASc Score: 4 — HASBLED Score: 3

Cardiac imaging

  • LVEF 60%
  • Moderately dilated atria. No significant valvulopathy.

Procedure planning

  • Percutaneous LAA closure in local anesthesia
  • ICE guidance
  • Double curved TruSeal delivery sheath
  • LAA closure with WATCHMAN FLX™ device – 24 mm
